Kotobna Space is Egypt’s first and only working space designed and built for writers and writing enthusiasts. With a vision to empower writers across the country with spaces that are exclusive, relaxed, focus-centric and warm enough to foster inspiration and productivity.
Kotobna Space is a true writer’s den, club, community, retreat and manuscript factory all merged into a space made for masters and aspiring apprentices of the art of the written word.

Kotobna is the first Self-Publishing platform with print on demand capacity in Egypt and the Arab World, launched back in 2015. Kotobna helped more than 2850 talented writers, to publish, sell and promote their books in digital and printed formats.
We are proud to have published more than 3400 Books; 1450 of them are in printed format, 1850 of them are e-books, and more than 50 audio books.
Our distribution channels include the first branch of Kotobna Book Store in Ma’adi and more than 40 points-of-sale around Egypt with our key distribution partners, in addition to the online distribution through our website and mobile application.

Ideas are nourished
The space functions by complete respect for the art of the written word, therefore the space is allocated for both solitary work and collective work with utmost respect for the beauty of silence and wonders of community alike.
Tools are respected
Every writer needs their own space, rituals and more importantly; the set of tools that helps them create works of art. Those tools are accepted, understood and offered within reason in the space.
The Mind behind the work
We understand that a writer goes through phases of desperation, block, frustration and shining moments of non-stop brilliance, the space is designed to offer rest and inspire brilliance as needed, no judgment and no questions asked.
Community Matters
As writers sometimes deal with the expectation of negative feedback and rejection, Kotobna Space community stands by the single promise to always accept and never to judge. We leave all negativity at the doorway of the Space.
